Photos from New York City

During the Christmas Break, I spent a day in New York City, it´s only a short four hour drive from Boston. While there I looked at the sites and had a great dinner! Here are some of the photos, next week there will be more!

Here is a picture of the famous 5th Avenue in New York. The entire street is filled with shops and goes the length of the city. All sorts of shops are on this street including Zara and H&M. This picture shows an old church still in place on 5th Avenue while the shops have been constructed around it.

Here is a picture of the Cartier shop on the left, and the Versace shop on the right, both famous
fashion brands. In many cases, the shops on 5th Avenue are more like museums for
each company, showing all of their products. People walk up and down the street looking at the latest fashions and expensive jewelry, but not many people are actually buying things! Which country´s flag can you see in the picture?

This is another photo from 5th Avenue, of the Trump Tower. This building is owned by Donald Trump, inside is a shopping center and upstairs are very nice (and expensive) flats. On the street you can see New York taxis driving by. How are they different from taxis in Valencia?

This is a nice picture of 6th Avenue, just one street over from (next to) 5th Avenue. As the evening begins, all the lights come on in the buildings. New York is called ¨The city that never sleeps.¨ Does this street look similar or different to city streets in Spain, for example in Madrid or Valencia?

Next week I´ll put up some more photos of the other sites around New York City
